We loved hearing how you celebrated the tenth International School Meals Day in March 2022.
The success of the day depends on as many people as possible getting involved and we want to have a wide range of interesting things on our website and on Twitter. As soon as you have something to contribute (you don’t have to wait until the actual day!) please send it to us.
The next International School Meals Day will be on Thursday 14 March 2024.
It will be the 12th ISMD, with the theme ‘Innovation in school meals: new routes to sustainable nutrition’..

In previous years a number of schools in the USA and Scotland were linked through “Connecting Classrooms” in our respective countries. The first ‘meeting’ of the schools took place on ISMD and the topic discussed was school food related. As the relationship develops a broader range of subjects and interests will be covered as our schools learn about the similarities and differences between our two countries.
If you did something exciting on the day, tell us! There are a number of ways to be included on our website:
- Emailing us at ismd@childreninscotland.org.uk
- Tweeting us: @IntSchoolMeals

If you use Twitter, you can share your ideas, and discuss your activity with others by following us on Twitter @IntSchoolMeals.
Your pictures and stories will be posted here on the website in the run up to, and following, the day.
