2024: Proveg shares sustainable plant recipes
Proveg, a food awareness organisation with the mission to reduce the global consumption of animals, is celebrating International School Meals Day 2024 by sharing some of their favourite sustainable meals.
These include:
- Black bean noodle soup
- Shredded tofu tacos with refried beans
- Planet friendly cheese burger
- Crunchy lemon falafel wrap with tzatziki
- A sticky chocolate brownie with banana nice cream to finish.

The theme of this year’s International School Meals Day is Innovation in School Meals: Routes to Sustainable Nutrition. Educators, caterers, sector professionals and organsiations and children and young people from around the world come together to share the benefits of and celebrate nutritious school meals.
