This year was the 11th annual International School Meals Day and had the theme, ‘‘Our changing food – methods, menus and meals’’, encouraged children and young people around the world (with support from their teachers) to connect and talk to each other about the food they eat and the role that it plays in their lives....
2023: A Mexican feast for pupils in Fife, Scotland
As they celebrated International School Meals Day, pupils at Kelty Primary School in Scotland were also celebrating the first time that many of them had tried Tacos and Fajitas. It was a fun but messy lunch as pupils tried their first ever roll…there were a few stained shirts and jumpers, but also lots of smiles.
2023: Cooking up a treat in Edinburgh, Scotland
Nursery/P1 pupils from Canaan Lane Primary School, in Edinburgh joined the City of Edinburgh Council Education Convener Joan Griffiths in preparing onions, carrots, potatoes and leeks for a tasty soup as part of International School Meals Day.
